Sunlight House

Aberdeen Standard Investments has completed the first phase of refurbishment at Sunlight House in Spinningfields, Manchester, with further works now under way and future plans to create a new double height reception with a retail unit, cafe, break out area and meeting zone.

The combined investment will total £4m, with works being project-managed by Savills building and project consultancy team.

The landmark art deco building offers 215,000 sq ft of high quality Grade A office space.

Recent refurbishment works on the 13,921 sq ft eighth floor include features such as large sash windows, open beamed ceilings with suspended lighting, and parquet flooring.

Further refurbishment works on the 13th floor are now under way.

Additionally, the newly-created double height, fully-glazed reception is due to be completed in October 2018.

On-site amenities at Sunlight House include a Bannatyne Health Club & Spa, while the building is located close to the diverse retail and food and beverage offer of Spinningfields.

Paul Crowe, associate director in the building and project consultancy team at Savills, said: “The significant capital expenditure at Sunlight House by Aberdeen Standard Investments has ensured this impeccably restored historic property has a bright future as a hub of high quality office space.

“The planned reception works will take it to the next level and further enhance the building’s appeal to professional occupiers seeking city centre space.”

Savills is also joint office leasing agent at Sunlight House with Colliers International.
