Law firm Mills & Reeve has advised on the sale of a Manchester manufacturer of low energy IT systems to US-French company, 2CRSI.

Tranquil PC, a family-owned company based in Trafford Park, has been acquired by 2CRSI for an undisclosed sum.

The company, which was founded in 2003, is a world-leader in the field of low energy IT systems.

Founded in 2005 and with headquarters in San Jose, California and Strasbourg, France, 2CRSI Corporation designs and manufactures storage systems, high-performance computing (HPC) and customised IT appliances.

2CRSI said the transaction will enable the expansion of existing supplier relationships, and the combined expertise of the staff and management teams will “substantially contribute” to the future success of the company.

Chris Ross, partner in the corporate team at the Manchester office of Mills & Reeve, said: “We are delighted to advise 2CSRI on the acquisition.

“The two companies have great synergies and will be a formidable presence on the international market.”

Pater Barton at law firm Gordons advised Tranquil PC and accountants EY conducted financial due diligence.

Mills & Reeve has offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, London and Norwich.
