The site in Hyde

Real Estate Investment Partnerships and Hardy Mill Properties has sold a retail site in Hyde for £1.32 million to a private investor.

The development is on the site of the former Bay Horse pub and was bought by the developer in 2015.

Demolition and construction started in December 2016 and completed in the summer of 2017 with The Co-op taking the 3,500 sq. ft. anchor unit and opening in August 2017.

Real Estate Investment Partnerships has also signed up with White Cross Vets to occupy the second unit at 2,000 sq. ft.

The Hyde branch of the White Cross Vets brand is their 18 th veterinary practice to open.

Situated on the corner of Talbot Road and Victoria Street, on the main link road between Hyde and Stalybridge, the site was purchased in a partnership between Real Estate Investment Partnerships and Hardy Mill Properties.

Simon Gallanders, director at Real Estate Investment Partnerships, commented: “The team at Real Estate are really pleased with the sale of this site.

“When we bought it we saw a lot of potential and our aim was to build something that would really benefit the local community.

“It is well located to provide a much needed amenity for locals as well as those passing between Stalybridge and Hyde.”

Jonathan Phillips, investment director at Metis Real Estate Advisors, said: “We were delighted to be involved in another project on behalf of Real Estate Investment Partnerships, from conception through to the eventual completion of the sale.

“The development will prove very beneficial for the local area and also demonstrates the continued Investor appetite for lengthy income streams secured against strong covenants.”
