Fast-growing bar company on the move to new headquarters

The new Alchemist headquarters

Property development and investment company Quorum has fully let a property in Cheshire.

Quorum has fully let Chadsworth House in Handforth after signing up The Alchemist bar and restaurant chain.

The Alchemist is relocating from its head office Knutsford to take the 5,667 sq ft ground floor on a five-year lease.

The deal follows on from the letting of the second floor to commercial and residential furniture supplier Rosehill FF&E on a six-year lease.

The lettings come after Quorum undertook an extensive refurbishment programme.

Located in Handforth on Wilmslow Road, the 12,963 sq ft office building was comprehensively refurbished after the departure of long-standing tenant, IBI Group.

Simon Potts, managing director at the Alchemist said: “The move to Handforth is an important new chapter for The Alchemist.

“We are all really excited to be making the move into such a fantastic space which will be home to a team of 25 staff and will provide a flexible working environment for many of our employees across the UK.”

James Dickinson, director, Canning O’Neill, joint letting agents with Simon Gardner of Williams Commercial, commented: “Fully letting Chadsworth House so quickly after the departure of the previous tenant underlines the strength of demand in the South Manchester market for high quality accommodation

“Quorum’s investment in the property was a calculated risk but their knowledge of the local market and experience in property has enabled them to create an exceptional space which is far superior to many other offices in the area.”
