Warrington firm Triton Construction has acquired Liverpool-based Remstone Construction in a multi-million pound deal that it says will take their group turnover to record heights this year.

The Triton group, led by managing director Michael Parkinson, is confident that with the resurgence in construction following recent Brexit-induced uncertainty they can double the turnover of the Remstone Construction Business, situated in Speke, within the year.

Triton, which is keen to strengthen its presence in the North West region, will continue to trade as Remstone Construction.

The other Remstone Property and Development activities remain unaltered.

Their first task will be to take on the redevelopment of sites in South and Central Liverpool developing 10,700 sq ft of office space and 123,290 sq ft of industrial space to support the economic regeneration of the area.

Mr Parkinson said: “I am pleased to welcome Remstone Construction into the Triton family, they have a sound base for future growth and we are confident that, with the invigoration of the construction industry, we will double the projected turnover of the company within the first year.”

Remstone Development managing director Richard Dears said he is pleased with the deal that will allow further time to concentrate on property and development activities: “Triton have a similar client-focused ethos and energy as our own company, so were confident our staff and clients are transferring into very safe hands.”

Triton Construction was founded in Yorkshire more than 12 years ago, and established offices at Birchwood, Warrington, in 2014, complementing its operation at Liversedge, West Yorkshire.

It has a track record of delivering projects of between £500,000 and £10m.
