Strategic Team Group (STG) has won two contracts with Manchester’s Southway Housing Trust to deliver 88 new homes.

The mixed-tenure schemes at Minehead Avenue, Withington, and Arrowfield Road, Chorlton, were procured via Homes England’s new £8bn Developer Panel Framework (DPP3).

The Minehead development will deliver 54 ‘age-friendly’ apartments, a commercial restaurant, other communal facilities and 10 houses for sale, while Arrowfield will have 24 apartments available for shared ownership and affordable rent.

Including these two developments, Castleford-based STG is currently building on 27 sites which will deliver more than 800 new homes across the M62 corridor.

Mangaging director Andy Watson said: “DPP3 has already resulted in some excellent opportunities for STG.

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Southway Housing Trust for the first time to support their development programme.

“Although we have been operating in Yorkshire for almost 20 years, our Manchester base is now growing at more than 50% each year.”

He added: “This is another step in our ambition of building more than 750 mixed tenure homes a year.”
