Foot Locker in Liverpool

Trainer firm Foot Locker has opened its largest store in Europe in Liverpool.

The company has opened its latest branch in the Liverpool One shopping centre.

The two-story 21,000 sq ft store has the latest lines, elevated instore presentations, enhanced customer experiences and will hold events.

Foot Locker commissioned Liverpool artist Stephen Chan to create a bespoke piece of artwork, which takes pride of place at the front of the store.

The American owned brand operates in 28 countries and has stores in Manchester city centre and the Trafford Centre. The company originated from the Woolworths brand and was launched in 1974.

Foot Locker partnered with local MC and MiC LOWRY band member Kaine Ofoeme to host an evening that featured live performances from him and his band, and other Liverpool acts including Atlantic Records’ new signing, Tayà, and Radio 1Xtra favourite, DJ Coco.

Nick Jones, vice president and general manager of Foot Locker Europe, said: “The new store is the ultimate destination for sneaker fans in Liverpool and a great platform for the city’s many creative talents.

“Liverpool has such an incredible cultural history and scene that it’s the perfect destination to lead the way for the future of Foot Locker stores.

“ We look forward to continuing to collaborate locally and support the local scene and community.”
