Architect and building consultancy relocates 80-strong team to new offices

Architecture and building consultancy AHR is set to move its 80-strong team to new offices in Manchester, which it says signals its commitment to retaining a strong presence in the city.

The practice will take up office space on the 7,385 sq ft fifth floor suite of the Princess Street building later this month, relocating from its previous location close to Deansgate where it was based for more than 15 years.

Dominic Manfredi, director at AHR, said: “55 Princess Street provides us with an excellent location in the heart of Manchester city centre. Located in the prime commercial core, the new office suits the needs of our staff, offering both ease of commute and a high-quality work environment with fantastic views of the Town Hall, Albert Square and St. Peter’s Square. It’s an exciting move for the whole team and reaffirms our commitment to providing a first-rate workspace environment for our people.

“As a multi-service practice, locating both our architecture and building consultancy disciplines in shared workspace will help our team collaborate to optimise knowledge sharing, drive innovation in our service offering and strengthen relationships across the business. We’re delighted to call it our new home and for the future possibilities this move will bring.”

AHR has a network of eight regional offices throughout the UK, with its Manchester office designing and delivering significant projects across the North West and further afield, including the Slate Yard residential scheme in New Bailey, the Oastler Building at the University of Huddersfield and the recent Stockport Grand Central Spa in Stockport.
