Software firm looking to grow business following move to new HQ

Wigan-based Fleetsmart has doubled its office space to cope with record demand for its products and services.

The developer of hi-tech vehicle GPS tracking software for businesses was backed by a significant commercial mortgage from Santander Business Banking.

The move will allow the firm to secure more contracts and employ additional staff.

Incorporated in 2010, Fleetsmart offers fleet and asset monitoring solutions to help businesses keep track of, and protect, their vehicles.

It now has over 500 clients with fleet sizes varying from two to 2000+ vehicles operating in all types of industries, from small courier businesses to haulage and logistics companies, builders and industrial crane hire firms.

While Fleetsmart primarily trades with UK-based companies, many of its customers work across Europe and its tracking systems and proprietary software now operate seamlessly throughout the EU.

The firm has also diversified its product suite and offers, among others, anti-hijack devices, dash cameras and infra-red devices.

The funding from Santander Business Banking helped the firm expand and invest for growth having reached a point where it needs additional space to cater for more clients and staff.
