Trio of deals for Merseyside scheme

More than 3,000 sq ft of long-term lettings have been agreed at the Cavendish Walk scheme in Huyton, Merseyside.

Health retailer Holland & Barrett has taken 1,709 sq ft, while Knowsley Council’s Citizens’ Advice Bureau has agreed to take 589 sq ft of space, both on 10-year leases.

The Fragrance Shop, which already occupies 577 sq ft, has renewed its lease for a further 10 years.

Agent GVA said the transactions are a “strong endorsement” of the scheme’s improved offering due to investment from the council

Sholom Cohen at GVA, said: “Against a challenging retail backdrop, this most recent letting and lease renewal activity at Cavendish Walk significantly demonstrates that there is still good appetite from retailers for the right schemes and locations.

“As a part of our strategy for the scheme, we are focussed on continuing to provide the right retail mix for the local demographic, giving people a reason to visit and return to the parade in Huyton. We look forward to continuing to work with local and national retailers to deliver a scheme that works well for the area and continues to provide what shoppers are looking for.”
