Up market fashion chain opens first regional store in Liverpool

Armani Exchange

Fashion store Armani Exchange has opened its first store in the regions in Liverpool.

The up-market fashion brand for men and women has opened a branch in Liverpool One.

The 3,169 sq ft boutique is on Peter’s Lane and is the first Armani Exchange to launch since JD Sport Fashion announced it would be opening a series of premium boutiques across the UK.

Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe said: “Armani Exchange complements the line up on Peter’s Lane, adding another designer store to Liverpool One’s unique offer.

“The decision by the JD Sport Fashion plc to select Liverpool for the first new Armani Exchange store outside London is a reflection of our status as the destination for global brands.”

Armani Exchange joins Reiss, Tessuti, Hugo Boss, Ted Baker and Michael Kors on Peter’s
Lane, which is anchored by Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols and Flannels.

In addition, COS recently opened its first regional store in the North West at the entrance to Liverpool One’s Peter’s Lane and ARKET is due to open later this year.

The news follows a recent study that revealed Liverpool has been the most consistent major regional city in the UK in terms of retail signings since the start of 2008.

Cushman & Wakefield and Metis Real Estate Advisors acted for Liverpool One. JD Sport Fashion plc dealt direct.

Liverpool One operator Grosvenor Europe invests in, develops, operates and manages real estate assets and funds, with a focus on vibrant European cities including Paris, Stockholm, Madrid and Liverpool.
