Haydock forklift firm undergoes management buy-out

Global investment

Haydock-based forklift dealership Global Material Handling has undergone a management buy-out.

Sales director Andy Evans is now the sole owner of Global, the exclusive dealer for the Cesab Material Handling range across the North West.

Andy has signed a new three-year dealer agreement with the European materials handling equipment manufacturer.

The dealership was founded in 2009, steady investment and growth have seen Global increase its headcount to 27.

Andy said: “I realised the time was right to take Global and Cesab to the next level. This represents a fantastic opportunity for both brands.

“We have a committed team here at Global which worked hard to achieve record sales last year.

“We intend to build on this. We have invested heavily in the Protean software system, which is bespoke to our industry, and have continued to invest in our team and service van fleet.

“With his new investment now in place we are all looking forward to an even brighter and more successful future.”

Miles Griffin, General Manager, Cesab Material Handling UK, said: “We’re delighted to see Andy take this decision and are looking forward to building on an already very successful relationship with him and the team at Global.

“Andy recognises the strength of the Cesab brand, having experienced record growth with it, and we in turn are looking forward to supporting him and the Global team on every step of their journey.”
