As well as retaining a regional presence, Graham’s new role will have an increased focus on international infrastructure projects and investors.

Stephen Littler is a Partner in EY’s financial services business, providing audit and assurance services to regional, national and international financial services clients, and has spent the last eight years working with some of the North West’s most high profile financial services businesses.

Alex Williams and Richard Barnes have been promoted to associate partner.

Alex works in the restructuring team based in Manchester and has more than 20 years’ experience at EY, working with underperforming businesses and their stakeholders across a range of sectors including real estate, manufacturing, retail and healthcare, both in the UK and abroad.

A former deputy leader of Trafford Council and a fellow of the British American Project, Alex also serves on the advisory committee of the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.

Richard leads EY’s corporate finance infrastructure team in the North and focuses on advising public and private clients on complex infrastructure programmes including structuring business cases, funding and financing, and advising on all stages of the procurement process.

He has been with the EY since the late 1990s and started his career in Manchester before working in London and across the Middle East and finally returning to Manchester in 2016.

Meanwhile, client service and audit partner Jamie Dixon relocated to Manchester from Aberdeen at the start of the month to focus on developing relationships with listed and privately owned businesses across the North West.

Jamie joined EY in 2008 and has previously been based in London and Moscow. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors and also works with businesses in retail, technology and life sciences.

Bob Ward, EY’s senior partner for the North West, said: “This investment in senior talent reflects not only our growing ambition in the North West but also our confidence in the long-term outlook for the regional economy.

“Congratulations to Graham, Stephen, Alex and Richard on this career milestone – I know their expertise and leadership will strengthen our tax, financial services, restructuring and corporate finance businesses respectively and entry into the partnership recognises their outstanding contributions to expanding the firm in the region.

“All of these appointments demonstrate EY’s real commitment to investing in our people and our offering to North West companies.”
