Flight consolidator Aviate has reported a 32% increase in revenue, turning over £80m in the past year.

The Ellesmere Port-based company, which is part of the Travel Innovation Group, has exceeded its targets for sales for the 2017/18 financial year, with a 50% increase in ticket sales in comparison to 2016/17.

Its 2017/2018 financial year marks the third consecutive year that Aviate has enjoyed a sizeable growth across all areas of the business.

The company credits its continued impressive growth to additional partnerships with major airlines, the restructuring of their lead generation team, and new business streams, including the launch of Aviate Journeys, which will provide the platform for Aviate to form long term partnerships with passionate travel individuals and business owners.

Aviate’s sister company, Lime, which provides a search, booking and ticketing service to the UK travel trade seeking British Airways flights, has also enjoyed a 27% increase in ticket sales year-on-year for the first nine months of its financial year.

Michael Edwards, managing director of Travel Innovation Group, which is home to Aviate and its sister companies, Lime and Calrom, said: “It’s fantastic to see Aviate continue to show impressive growth year-on-year.

“We’ve continually worked hard to ensure we’re enhancing our offering for our clients to ensure they’re getting the very best service.

“There have been a number of innovations we’ve made this year, which have been instrumental to Aviate’s financial success for the last 12 months.

“We’ve still got lots of new products we’re planning to launch into the market during the remainder of 2018, so we’re looking forward to seeing what the next 12 months will bring.”

Aviate’s success in 2017/18 puts the Travel Innovation Group on target for achieving a turnover of £200m for 2017/18.
