Second phase of landmark Media City residential development tops out
Property investment consultancy Knight Knox and developer X1 have announced the topping out of the second tower of their landmark residential scheme, X1 Media City, located in MediaCityUK.
The topping out of Tower 2 is a significant milestone in the delivery of the 1,100-unit scheme, which comprises four 26-storey tower blocks and has been designed by architects Falconer Chester Hall.
To mark the occasion, teams from X1, Knight Knox and construction firm Vermont gathered on the 26th floor for a topping out ceremony in which the final square of cement was ritually filled in by staff members and a tree was planted to symbolise the growth and success of the development in the future.
The apartments at X1 Media City will bring premium quayside living to the busy local rental market, with the development including a mixture of studio to three-bedroom apartments, as well as an on-site cinema, private gym and secure underground parking.
First launched in 2014, all four towers at X1 Media City have proven popular with investors, with only eight apartments left for sale in Tower 4.

X1 Media City will be let and block managed by X1 Lettings, which has reported tenancy rates of 96% in Tower 1.
