National law firm Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth has recruited a new associate to its growing will, trust and estate disputes team in Manchester.

Heather Roberts joins from Stephensons Solicitors in Manchester, having qualified as a solicitor in 2007.

She is highly experienced in advising on inheritance disputes and contentious probate cases, having run several successful cases at trial.

As well as being a trained mediator Heather is also a full member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).

Heather joins a growing team, with senior associate Nazia Nawaz having moved from the Leeds office in May 2018 to lead and help to grow the will, trust and estate disputes team in Manchester.

The team is going from strength to strength having already recruited Lucy-Allena McIlroy earlier this year as a paralegal.

Paula Myers, national head of will, trust and estate disputes at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth, said: “We are delighted to have Heather join our growing team in Manchester.

“Nazia has done a brilliant job in establishing our presence in the North West region. We’ve already seen a lot of work come through and Heather’s appointment will help us to better service the area.

“Heather’s work will also feed in to the wider national team, which is now one of the largest specialist teams in the country based across six of Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth’s offices. I know she will settle in well.”
