Lancashire Cricket is delighted to announce a new and enhanced three-year agreement with Thomas Cook Sport, which has become the club’s official team logistics partner.

The firm will provide Lancashire with all accommodation and logistics arrangements for domestic fixtures across the next three seasons.

As part of the agreement, supporters will also be able to enjoy watching top level cricket across the season from the newly-branded Thomas Cook Sport Stand at the award-winning and globally recognised Emirates Old Trafford venue, which has earlier this year secured a new five-year international fixture schedule, including the Ashes in 2023 following on from six ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures and the fourth Specsavers Ashes Test next year.

The hugely popular official ticket-inclusive Thomas Cook Sport Terrace will also expand as part of the new contract, with the pitch-side experience now being made available across all home Vitality Blast fixtures, as well as internationals, which included this season’s Royal London One Day International between England and Australia and the Vitality IT20 between England and India, as well as an Ashes Test Match in 2019.

Thomas Cook Sport has been part of Lancashire Cricket’s partnership programme since 2015 and this extended and enhanced sponsorship sees the Red Rose club join Thomas Cook Sport’s impressive sporting associations, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as other leading sporting events and partnerships including the NFL London Games and F1’s Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive of Lancashire Cricket, said: “We’re delighted that Thomas Cook Sport has extended its partnership with the Club.

“We have worked closely with them over the last three years as we share the same core values and approach to enhancing the experience here at Emirates Old Trafford.

“They are clear market-leaders in ground logistics and sports packages and we have seen progressive year-on-year development and growth in the popular pitch-side ticket-inclusive Terrace offering at Emirates Old Trafford for our domestic and international fixtures, which they have now expanded both here at our venue, and further afield across the game.

“We are continually committed to ensuring that the club’s sponsors and partners not only benefit from the impactful and wide-ranging commercial assets, but also provide an enhanced experience for the supporters and the wider Red Rose family, as we continue to build strong and positive relationships over an extended period of time.”

The newly-formed Lancashire Cricket Foundation will also benefit from the partnership with Thomas Cook Sport becoming the official partner to the county’s boys and girls district teams.

Rob Slawson, head of Thomas Cook Sport, added: “Our relationship with Lancashire Cricket Club has gone from strength-to-strength over the last three years, so we’re delighted to become the club’s official team logistics partner and extend our relationship for a further three years.”

The Thomas Cook Sport news follows Lancashire Cricket Club’s other announcements this year including a five-year Vitality Blast shirt extension with the world’s largest airline Emirates, a collaboration with UA92 – the Class of 92’s new university in partnership with Lancaster University, and also confirmation of an operating profit of £2,347,000 for the year ended 31 December 2017, which represented an increase of 92% on the previous year.
