£8.8m Hulme residential scheme completes

Property investment consultancy Knight Knox and developer Forshaw Land & Property Group have announced the completion of an £8.8m residential scheme in Hulme, Manchester.

Barrel Yard is the second scheme from Knight Knox and Forshaw Land & Property Group to be completed in Hulme as part of local regeneration, following the partnership’s award-winning residential development The Queen’s Brewery, which is located on an adjacent site.

Barrel Yard consists of a mixture of one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a three-bedroom penthouse on the third floor.

The development also includes a selection of three- and four-bedroom townhouses.

Outdoor space comes in the form of large terraces to the third-floor apartments, as well as a large communal area, while select units come with private parking.

Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, said: “Barrel Yard is a fantastic addition to the busy rental landscape in Hulme.

“Alongside The Queen’s Brewery, Barrel Yard is contributing to the growth of a thriving local community that we are sure will benefit from these stunning residential homes for generations to come.”

Lyndon Forshaw, managing director at Forshaw Land & Property Group, added: “Thanks to planned regeneration schemes, Hulme is turning into the go-to destination for young professional renters and families looking for premium residential living in close proximity to Manchester city centre.

“Following the success of The Queen’s Brewery, Barrel Yard has already proven extremely popular with renters and we expect both developments to play an integral part in the future of this vibrant community.”

Barrel Yard is a mixture of owner-occupied and fully-managed buy-to-let properties.

Investor-owned units will be managed by lettings and management company Primo Property Management, a sister company of the developer Forshaw, which has reported that more than half of the available homes have already been let.
