Manchester bar group planning major roll out over next 12 months

Manchester based Revolution is planning to open six new bars over the next 12 months.

The Ashton-under-Lyne company currently operates 74 venues trading under the Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba brands.

And it has taken on Social Chain – the Manchester based social media specialist – to help market its latest expansion plans.

The aim is to target Millennials as part of its drive to win new customers.

The firm has endured a tough 12 months due to changes in management and slower trading but it is still keen to press ahead with its expansion plans.

Last month the company issued a trading statement which blamed a prolonged takeover at the group for a slowdown in trading.

The company said total sales in the second half up to June were up by 7.3%.

But like for like sales were down 1.7%. As a result adjusted EBITDA is now expected to be below market expectations and in line with last year.

As part of the campaign Social Chain will be responsible for the output of all 74 cross platform social channels including strategic planning, content strategy and reactivation, social media management, and influencer marketing.
