Urmston’s popular market has exchanged hands for a six figure sum

Businessman Adam Deering, who already as three other companies, has taken on the market.

His plans for the market will include space for 12 independent retailers and flats above the market.

Mr Deering, who was born in Urmston, told the Manchester Evening News: “We are looking at putting the property through a program of refurbishment including creating residential flats above.

“Immediate plans are to invest in refurbishing the property.

“I have fond memories of growing up on Victoria Road near the Curzon Cinema and the community spirit is very strong in the area; and a testament to the good people that live there.”

He added: “The food hall and property in Urmston are great investments for the future,” he added.

Mr Deering left school with no qualifications and has gone on to be a successful businessman.

The 36-year-old’s businesses now have a combined turnover of £20m a year.

He owns funeral planning firm Pride Planning and debt management company Hanover Insolvency.
