Continued Growth for Kingswood Homes

Preston-based Kingswood Homes has acquired a three-acre site in Lancashire for the development of 38 new homes.

The site, at Forton, was purchased from Thwaites Brewery and already has outline planning permission.

Kingswood managing director, Paul Jones, said: “Our target is to deliver 70-75properties a year and this site will slot into our build schedule for 2019.

“It is a great location and we will now work on detailed plans specific for the site to continue our pipeline of high quality bespoke homes.”

The acquisition continues a decade of growth for the company which now employs 24 people from its base at Little Hoole.

The Kingswood board has been increased to four with the promotion of development manager Andrea Fortune to land and planning director.

Kingswood has partnered with designers Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway at Green Hills, an award-winning development in Blackburn, and is also developing two sites in Devon.

Paul added: “Small developers can play an important role in helping deliver the variety of homes that are needed across the UK.”
