Latest Affinity Lancashire tenant is a family affair

Fleetwood shopping outlet Affinity Lancashire will welcome a new family-run café this Autumn.

@Katie’s is the first business venture for local chef Dan Waring.

Named after his daughter, Katie, the décor is inspired by her passion for dance and musical theatre.

Diners will be able to choose from a selection of artisan cakes, pastries, sandwiches, snacks and a daily range of hot and cold specials.

Afternoon tea is a firm favourite and @Katie’s will also be offering this British classic with seasonally-themed delights to keep regular customers entertained.

Company director Dan is passionate about food having spent his working life as a senior chef in the kitchens of hotels and restaurants in the UK and USA.

Now living across the harbour from Affinity Lancashire, Dan is delighted to be bringing his family dream to life in his adopted home town of Fleetwood.

His venture, which is due to open in mid-October, will be using local suppliers and artisan techniques to deliver desserts and wholesome meals at great prices, said Dan.

“We’re so excited to be opening our very own business at Affinity Lancashire. We’re regular shoppers at the centre and after their rebrand we just felt this was the perfect time to make our family dream a reality.

“We’ve done a lot of research and really do feel @Katie’s will be offering something different in the area and we can’t wait to welcome our first diners.”
