HIMOR granted approval for 200,000 sq ft Carrington development
Regeneration and property group HIMOR will begin work on the first phase of its major Future Carrington regeneration scheme in November after winning approval for a 212,129 sq ft speculative industrial development.
Trafford Council has approved a reserved matters application for Carrington Gateway, the first phase of the project, which will return employment use to a 19-acre site fronting Manchester Road.
HIMOR will develop six detached industrial units, ranging from 10,925 to 103,968 sq ft.
The development will benefit from a planned new link road connecting the site to the M60 and the units will be ready to occupy from Summer 2019.
Carrington Gateway is the first phase of HIMOR’s major regeneration of the 1,660-acre Carrington Estate in South West Manchester.
The scheme – one of the UK’s largest single-owner strategic development sites – will transform the former Shell refinery site with new homes, green spaces, social infrastructure, employment space and transport links.

In 2017, HIMOR secured outline approval for one million sq ft of employment floorspace and 725 new homes at Carrington.
Wainhomes has also submitted a reserved matters application for its Carrington Village scheme of 269 homes.
