Property management firm wins two apartment block deals

Broughton Place

Scanlans has secured property management deals at two new developments in Greater Manchester.

The group has been appointed to manage Broughton Place, in Salford, on behalf of the Bahraini-based developer Awal Investment, and The Red House, in Swinton, for Bridgwater Property Development.

Broughton Place is a three-storey gated development comprising 34 flats of one, two and three bedrooms, with communal gardens.

Located on Lower Broughton Road, it is Awal Investment’s first project in England. All of the flats have been pre-sold. They are aimed at first-time buyers, families and investors.

Pad Residential, the Manchester city centre agency, which is part of the Scanlans group, has been appointed to manage the lettings.

Scanlans partner Ian Magenis said: “This is the first of a number of schemes being developed by Awal and we are excited to be working with the company.

“Broughton Place is an excellent new development in an area which is ideal for students of Salford University, as well as young professionals seeking to live near Manchester city centre.

“For investors, they can see a solid return from the buoyant rental market in this increasingly desirable area.”

He added: “We are delighted to be working with Pad on this scheme, as our partnership provides a perfect synergy between property and rental management so often missing in this type of scheme.”

The Red House, on Manchester Road, Swinton, is a three-storey gated development comprising 14 two-bedroom apartments.

It is aimed mainly at owner-occupiers.

Ian added: “We are pleased to be appointed by Bridgwater Property Development to manage The Red House scheme, which represents an excellent property investment opportunity.

“Its proximity to our offices and other sites we currently manage means we can maintain the highest level of service without applying premium fees, which are so often seen with smaller residential schemes.”

Scanlans currently manages 270 developments comprising more than 17,000 apartments across the country.

The firm has offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and London.

Alongside residential block management, Scanlans has a facilities management operation and a surveying consultancy.
