TickX, the Manchester-based search engine and discovery platform for events, attractions and cinema, has entered into an exciting new partnership with The Stage, the iconic news and service platform for theatre, entertainment and performance art.

Founded in 1880, The Stage is the world’s oldest and most prominent theatre publication.

Offering a unique array of news, reviews, opinion, features, and advertising directed at those who work in, or have a keen interest in, theatre and the performing arts industry, The Stage has long been known throughout the performing arts world as the number one source of theatre news, reviews, jobs and advice.

The partnership sees the integration of the TickX widget onto The Stage website, displaying ticket availability and price comparison for relevant performances, plays and events around the country.

Readers can easily find the best prices for theatre tickets and availability for West End performances and innovating independent productions, alike.

The Stage is unique in its commitment to review all professional theatre across the UK and with the new TickX integration theatregoers across the country can now read about shows and find price comparisons for tickets all in one place.

Theatre fans will benefit as TickX pulls results from more than 75 ticket-selling platforms, including ATG, London Theatre Direct, See Tickets and The Stage’s own ticketing offering, powered by LOVEtheatre.

The new partnership underlines TickX’s intentions to create an eco-system which will successfully connect fans of theatre and performing arts with a wider network of ticketing providers, venues and publicists.

Steve Pearce, TickX co-founder and chief executive, said: “‘We’re delighted to enter into this partnership with The Stage, one of the most influential brands in the world of theatre.

This collaboration will enable us to instantly connect millions of theatre fans with an array of ticket sellers and venues throughout the country.

“The project has tremendous potential and we are excited to be promoting our West End ticketing partners and regional venues, alike. We look forward to growing this relationship and will continue to drive ticket sales for the world of performing arts.”

Simon Hassell, commercial director at The Stage, said: “The Stage prides itself on its depth and breadth of reviewing across the UK.

“We’re delighted to partner with TickX to make our reviews even more valuable to our readers.”

In addition to theatre, TickX also allows users to find and buy tickets for more than 125,000 events, attractions and films, having recently launched a cinema offering which connects users with every single cinema and picture house in the UK.

TickX is available to customers across UK, Ireland, Spain and Holland online or via the TickX app, with further expansions across Europe on the horizon.
