Alderley Edge to get new bar and restaurant by end of month

The latest bar in Alderley Edge is only a matter of weeks away from opening.

Victors, which is on the site occupied by the Alchemist Bar on London Road, has already started taking bookings.

The bar is being opened by East Coast Concepts, the Manchester-headquartered operators of the hugely successful Neighbourhood and Victors brands.

The new Victors bar follows the latest Neighbourhood opening in Leeds and an extremely successful push into the south with Victors in Oxford.

The site in the up-market Cheshire village looks set to mirror that success with over 1,000 covers booked in the week since reservations went live.

Alderley Edge will be the sixth opening for the group, which shows no sign of slowing down with a further two sites already planned for 2019.

The new restaurant and bar will offer 130 covers over two floors.

A private dining room offers a space to host Christmas parties, birthdays and other special occasions.

Designed to be a continuation of the main restaurant, it will accommodate between 40 and 60 guests and has separate access and its own bar.

East Coast Concepts appointed Manchester based Carrol Designs (Cicchetti, Bottega, Panacea) to create Victors signature interior.

The design includes whitewashed brick, oak beams, wisteria clad walls and ceilings, in addition to bespoke furniture imported directly from Italy and Missoni fabric covering the walls and bar.

The group has also announced its Victors site in Hale will be undergoing an interior makeover.

The Ashley Road venue is entering its fifth year of trading.

East Coast Concepts was backed by private equity firm NorthEdge Capital in June 2016.

The investment enabled James Hitchen, the company’s founder and chief executive, to embark on a rollout of the Neighbourhood and Victors brands in city centres and suburbs in cities and towns across the country.
