The Liverpool managing partner of accountancy and advisory business EY has underlined her commitment to growing its footprint in the local market, as the firm also becomes a member of the Liverpool LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership).

Jenn Hazlehurst took over as managing partner of EY’s Liverpool office two years ago and in her first year doubled the firm’s school leaver and graduate intake and grew headcount by 20%, with more than 40 staff currently based at its offices on Chapel Street.

Jenn, who had been a member of the Liverpool LEP’s advisory board for a number of years before EY joined, has worked with some of the North West’s largest plcs and public interest entities, particularly across the energy and utility sectors.

Jenn said she sees huge opportunities for businesses across a range of sectors to grow in Liverpool and wants to ensure that EY continues to grow in the city to support these businesses with a full range of services – from audit and tax through to transactions, advisory and advising on staff culture and diversity.

She has targeting further growth and plans to double staff numbers by 2020.

Jenn said: “We already have a strong footprint in this city and I am committed to further growing our presence here.

“When I took over as office managing partner two years ago I made the decision to double the size of the EY Liverpool office and we are on track with 20% growth in our first year, and more to come.”

EY has a team of more than 600 professionals working across the North West and its offices on Chapel Street service a wide range of businesses, from fast-growing entrepreneurial start-ups through to large privately-owned businesses, FTSE 350 companies, and many multi-national organisations.
