C&W launches Mason Street apartments scheme

The Mason Street scheme

Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed to launch Mason Street, a bespoke collection of new-build apartments set within a converted Victorian mill in the heart of Manchester.

C&W’s new homes team in Manchester have been appointed by Regency Residential, the sales arm for the developer, MCR Property as the primary agent on the scheme.

MCR Property has created a boutique scheme which provides 13 one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Starting from £179,950, the new development has Help to Buy options available.

Located in the centre of Ancoats, each apartment features unique characteristics, with many of the original historic details and industrial features retained.

Ranging from 506 sq ft to 990 sq ft, the development comprises six one-bedroom apartments, three two-bedroom apartments and four basement level duplex apartments.

Julian Cotton, associate and head of C&W’s new homes team in Manchester, said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Regency Residential in bringing Mason Street to the market.

“This unique collection of apartments, effortlessly combining striking Victorian architecture with elegant, contemporary internal finishes, is situated within the heart of an increasingly thriving and vibrant Manchester and with Help to Buy available, offers a superb opportunity for first time buyers looking to get a foot on the property ladder.

“Manchester is fast becoming the new hub for global business and as such is drawing an increasingly large mix of young professionals and entrepreneurs to the city attracted by the growing career and business development opportunities, diversity of culture and social scene.”

Rana Ashkar, business development director of Regency Residential, added: “We are delighted to be launching such an interesting scheme into the Manchester marketplace.

“Whilst offering bespoke, contemporary finishes throughout, we felt it vitally important to absorb and showcase as many of the building’s original features, ensuring we retain a sense of character.

“We strongly believe that prospective purchasers will love the blend of old and new, as well as the immensely popular location.

“In working with Cushman & Wakefield’s Manchester new homes team we have every confidence in the successful delivery of the project.”

Mason Street also features indoor private gardens in the four duplex apartments only, as well as mezzanine level bedrooms.

The distinctive brick mill features from the building’s exterior continue inside to the entrance and foyer area.

The show apartment will be unveiled in January 2019.
