Motorists warned to expect delays after lorry overturns on M60

Motorists in the Salford area are being advised to allow themselves extra time to travel in to work this morning after lorry overturned close the M60.

The lorry has overturned on the sliproad at junction 16 at Clifton closing the clockwise entry to the motorway.

The incident happened at 3am this morning.

Highways England say recovery work is still taking place at the scene and has warned drivers to allow extra time for their journeys.

There are major roadworks taking place in the area adding to the congestion problems.

The area is expected to become severely congested during the peak rush hour.

Transport for Greater Manchester is warning people to expect delays.
