Gloucestershire health-tech company launches North West office

Sci-Tech Daresbury

A health-tech company from Gloucestershire has established its first office space in the North West following a significant period of growth which includes securing new contracts with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

Intouch with Health, based in Cirencester, has agreed an initial one-year contract at the Sci-Tech Daresbury Innovation Centre in Warrington.

Established in 2006, Sci-Tech Daresbury is home to more than 130 high-tech companies in areas covering advanced engineering, digital and ICT, biomedical and energy and environmental technologies.

Mike Sanders, chief executive at Intouch with Health, said: “We have recently secured contracts with leading North West cancer care centres at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, and currently work with over 50 NHS trusts and health boards in the UK, and four hospitals in Australia.

“Our growth in the last few years across the North of England and Scotland dictates that we now need a dedicated space from which to access and service our customers in the most efficient way possible.”

He added: “As a fast-moving tech company it’s also important for our growth that we are surrounded by, and can network with, similar businesses that are innovative in their own fields.

“Our new base at Sci-Tech Daresbury will enable this while giving us access to world-class facilities that we are confident will open up new relationships and opportunities for Intouch with Health.”

The company, which was established in 1999, works with more than 80 UK NHS hospitals to manage the flow of outpatients using a digital dashboard to relay patients’ movements and locations to hospital staff at each stage of their appointment.

Its electronic outcomes technology is also used by clinicians and hospital staff to accurately capture follow-on data immediately after patient appointments and support NHS Digital.
