Clothing chain Hugo Boss is expanding Liverpool store

Mens clothing chain Hugo Boss is expanding its store at Liverpool’s trendy Metquarter shopping centre.

The chain is expanding into the former Carluccios store in the shopping centre and is also undergoing a major refurbishment.

The move will include a brand new fit-out and will give the store a total of 10,500 sq ft of space.

The new-look store, expected to be reopen in March 2019, will feature a new interior design. Throughout the store, matt and fabric surfaces will contrast with high-gloss and mirrored materials as well as elegant crystal chandeliers.

Stuart Harris, commercial director at landlords Queensberry, said: “Boss expanding in to the former Carluccios space gives us a great fashion anchor at the front of the centre.

“We have a really exciting and transformative 12 months ahead for Metquarter with Kids Cavern opening in the next few weeks, Everyman in December, Boss and a fantastic fashion boutique taking the former Armani Exchange unit opening in Spring next year.

“We have also now agreed terms with a premium food hall operator to take 16,000 sq ft of space, housing ten food kitchens representing a range of cuisines operated by local and regional chefs.

“These deals totalling nearly 70,000 sq ft will give breathe new life in to Metquarter giving it a new identity that is both representative of Liverpool whilst showcasing some of the best international and British fashion brands”

The Metquarter is in the heart of Liverpool city centre next to Cavern Walks within the Castle Street conservation area and close to the main prime shopping streets of Liverpool.

Metquarter is a premium shopping and dining destination which plays host to brands such as MAC, Hugo Boss, Jo Malone, Kurt Geiger, LK Bennett, Jack Wills and many more.

It includes 44 units over ground and first floors, and benefits from a city centre position in the Castle Street Conversation Area, fronting on to Whitechapel, Liverpool’s traditional high street.

Metquarter has been working with Liverpool City Council who is investing in the in Victoria Street and Whitechapel area including a new 330 space multi storey car park due to open later this year on Victoria Street almost directly opposite the Metquarter.
