Well-known hotel goes on sale for £1.25m

Villaggio

A well-known hotel and restaurant in Warrington has gone on the market for £1.25m.

The Villaggio Hotel includes 25 en-suite bedrooms set across the first floor and an Italian restaurant on the ground floor, with seating for 130 covers in both the main dining area and adjoining conservatory.

There are also two separate function rooms, both with a private bar, with space for 210 covers collectively.

The hotel features well-kept gardens to the rear of the property and a car park for up to 42 vehicles.

Additional parking is available in the evenings as the hotel benefits from the use of the adjacent health centre’s 43 vehicle car park.

Located half a mile from Warrington town centre and close to local attractions, including Gulliver’s World Theme Park and the Golden Square Shopping Centre.

The property is also within a 30 minute drive of both Manchester and Liverpool airports.

Current owners, Mustafa and Mary Turkoza are looking to sell the business in order to retire after 19 years.

They said: “We have thoroughly enjoyed running the Villaggio Hotel and look forward to working with Christie & Co to find new owners for the business.”

Tom O’Malley, senior business agent at Christie & Co is handling the sale.

He said: “The current owners have worked hard to establish a strong reputation for the Villaggio Hotel during their tenure.

“As a result, they enjoy a profitable business that is an integral part of the community within Warrington.

“Potential purchasers could look to capitalise upon the business’ extensive function space, as the two separate rooms can effectively cater for weddings, birthdays and a whole host of special occasions.

“By developing this aspect of the business further there is scope to drive revenue and profitability.”

The Villagio Hotel is offered for sale on a freehold basis off an asking price of £1.25m.
