Chartered surveyors and project management firm Actua is moving to new headquarters in Liverpool.

The company is relocating to Bruntwood’s Cotton Exchange building in Liverpool.

Actua has experienced considerable growth in recent months and has outgrown its current offices.

The move from Old Hall Street, where the company has been based for the last two years, is part of the firm’s long-term strategic business plan.

The move will also see the firm’s Liverpool office space increase from 850 sq ft to 1,100 sq ft in an extensively refurbished building, on a five-year lease.

Actua was launched in 2011 by co-directors David Sharp and Simon Fullard.

Since it has become one of the leading names in the industry across the North West, working with a number of high-profile clients including Liverpool John Moores University and Manchester’s The Christie cancer hospital.

David Sharp, said: “It was important to us that we stayed in Liverpool’s Commercial Business District and the facilities available at The Cotton Exchange fitted our requirements as a growing business.

“Through our strategic advice and sector specialist expertise, we’ve become renowned for our responsive and progressive approach which has given the us opportunity to work on some really interesting projects with some of the most highly recognised organisations in the North West.

“Our relocation to The Cotton Exchange marks a new chapter for Actua.

“We have considerably more room to continue on our growth trajectory and we will be working alongside like-minded companies, which can lead to exciting partnerships on new projects.”

Tony Reed, head of sales at Bruntwood in Liverpool, said: “Actua has quickly become one of the leaders in its field and will make an excellent addition to the growing community of innovative businesses that are now based at and continuing to grow within the Cotton Exchange.

“We have invested significantly in the Cotton Exchange in recent years and the building is now home to a range of creative and digital companies, attracted by features including a roof garden and events space, while an exciting ground floor with informal collaboration and breakout spaces, meeting rooms and coffee facilities is nearing completion.”
