Radius Payment Solutions, an independent service provider to the European fleet and logistics market, has opened a state-of-the-art £14m headquarters in Crewe, Cheshire.

The ‘Radius Campus’ official opening on Tuesday (December 11) signals the company’s commitment to Crewe and its staff, it said.

Radius has relocated from the nearby Herald Business Park to Crewe Business Park.

The construction of the 66,000 sq ft campus started in June 2017, and is strategically located close to Crewe’s railway station.

This puts Radius in an ideal location to leverage the area’s connectivity, as Crewe is going to be one of the main HS2 station hubs from 2026 onwards when journey times to London will be under an hour.

The campus, which will accommodate more than 500 people, is central to Radius’ global strategy, seeing it operate 21 offices across 14 countries, providing more than one million fuel cards per year, and related services.

The campus, which was developed by North West firm Pochin’s, includes an on-site gym, café and breakout areas with PlayStations, pool and table tennis tables, giving staff the opportunity to relax within a new working environment.

Bill Holmes, chief executive at Radius Payment Solutions, said: “The opening of the new HQ is a crucial moment in Radius’ history and, even more important, that it is based in Crewe.

“We have tried to build a mix of professional workspace with some nice relaxation and informal areas to create a great environment for our employees.

“We now have a unique, modern base which will further enhance our ability to attract new talent.

“Thank you to the team at Pochin’s and all other consultants on the project.”

Radius was placed 23rd in The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 league table published in 2018, which ranks 100 private companies with the biggest sales.

This is up from 35th in 2017 and is its highest position, reflecting the growth it has achieved over the past 12 months.
