Domino’s Pizza distribution warehouse up for sale

A former Domino’s Pizza distribution warehouse in Cumbria is being offered for sale with a guide price of £1.5m.

Located on a 1.96-acre site at Gilwilly Industrial Estate on Cowper Road in Penrith, the 28,632 sq ft warehouse offers 8.5 metres to eaves, nine dock level loading doors, parking for 30 cars and 14 heavy goods vehicles and access to junction 40 of the M6 and wider motorway network.

The detached unit was constructed in the early 2000s and features 17,718 sq ft of warehouse space, 7,254 sq ft of production space and two storey office space totalling 3,400 sq ft.

The site came to market following Domino’s Pizza relocating its distribution/production facility to a new 117,000 sq ft premises at Omega South, Warrington.

The specialist industrial and logistics team at real estate advisors Colliers International is handling the sale.

John Sullivan, director, industrial and logistics at the Manchester office of Colliers International, said: “The unit is in a prominent location on Gilwilly Industrial Estate and visible from the M6 motorway, with access from junction 40, within a few minutes drive. The unit represents a rare opportunity to purchase a freehold warehouse, which rarely come on to the market in this location.”
