Top level journalist to present Business Masters awards

Compere for the evening - BBC political journalist Nina Warhurst

One of the region’s best-known journalists will once again present TheBusinessDesk.com’s Business Masters awards.

Nina Warhurst, who covers the political scene in the North West, for the BBC will be the compere at this year’s awards.

Nina also covers business for BBC Breakfast News and is based in her native North West.

Born and raised in Manchester, Nina’s career started in Moscow as a news desk producer for Russia Today.

Since then journalism has taken her to Libya, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Israel, the West Bank and Uganda.

She has a passion for politics, having completed an MA in History and Politics at the University of Edinburgh.

Nina joined the BBC in 2010, and is the BBC political editor for the North West, based at MediaCity.

She has grilled Teresa May and Jeremy Corbyn and is a familiar figure on the political stage in the region.

There will be 12 awards presented on the evening, including two new awards – Family Business of the Year and Property Business of the Year.

The end of the evening will culminate in an award presented to the Ambassador of the Year; somebody who has shown an outstanding contribution and played an instrumental part in marking the region thrive.

The annual black-tie dinner is on Thursday March 7 and is expected to attract more than 300 delegates.

The prestigious evening will celebrate business success throughout many of North West strongest sectors. With entertainment from Ellie and Dave.
