Handful of tickets remain for special BusinessDesk.com event

Just a handful of tickets are still up for grabs for a special event featuring one of the region’s best-known businesswomen.

Vanda Murray will be speaking at a special BusinessDesk.com lunch on Thursday.

Vanda has had a long and distinguished career in a wide range of senior roles and is currently chair of building supplies firm Marshalls.

After graduating with a BA (Hons) in European Business Administration and a French Business Diploma from Reims Management School in France she pursued a career in business.

Vanda Murray has over 20 years of senior management experience across a range of B2B and B2C sectors in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.

She worked in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia and has a breadth of international experience and knowledge.

She was chief executive of Blick from 2001 to 2004 and served was chief executive at Stanley Security Solutions-Europe Limited .

She is chair of the board at Northwest Business Link and served as the managing director at Ultraframe

Vanda now holds a portfolio of Non-Executive Directorships including Manchester Airports Group, Bunzl plc, Redrow plc and Fenner plc. She also chairs the governors at Manchester Metropolitan University.

She was appointed OBE for Services to Industry and to Export in 2002.
