Record number of North West high street banks up for auction
A total of 13 former high street bank properties will feature among around 200 lots due to go under the hammer at Pugh’s property auctions in Manchester and Leeds next week.
Seven North West former retail bank branches are up for auction at the Pugh property sale on February 19, including four in Greater Manchester.
Guide prices for the town centre retail bank properties range from £400,000 for a three-storey, 2,500 sq ft former bank building on Stockport Road in Longsight, Manchester, to £50,000 for a 1,100 sq ft former RBS branch in Golborne, near Warrington.
Other bank properties in Cheetham Hill, Denton, Handforth, Cheadle and Southport are also included in the auction.

Also included in the Pugh North West auction at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester is the former police station in Poulton le Fylde, near Blackpool, the landmark Victorian Everton Water Tower in Liverpool, and Oldham council’s Brownhill Countryside Centre in Dobcross.
