Director leaves Lambert Smith Hampton to go solo

James Harrocks

James Harrocks, for the past three years a director of Lambert Smith Hampton’s (LSH) retail & leisure department in Manchester, has left the business to establish his own practice.

The well-known agent was part of the management team that sold Tushingham Moore to LSH in 2015.

He says that the move is “like returning to my roots”.

He said: “It’s an amicable move that will allow me to offer clients a very bespoke service.

“I’ve got a raft of instructions under my belt for the full range of services, from asset management to high street agency, and acquisitions to rent reviews.

“Whilst retail is a key part of my focus, I’m helping clients with a wide range of their commercial property assets.”

Start-up clients include Next, Vision Express and DW Sports & Fitness on the occupational side, Infrared Capital Partners and Fairacre as shopping centre owners, and Liverpool City Council and Downing on the retail agency part of the business.

Major retail assets on which Harrocks is acting include the 360,000 sq ft St John’s shopping centre in Liverpool, and the 270,000 sq ft St George’s shopping centre in Preston.

“My objective is to grow a focused team of dedicated professionals,” he said.

“We’ll offer a fresh perspective on what is a rapidly-changing market.

“For every challenge it poses is a counter-veiling opportunity and helping clients evolve their asset management strategies is one of the issues to which I’m particularly looking forward.”

The new company will have its office in the Liverpool suburb of Formby.
