Estate agent completes acquisition to take portfolio to 20

The Gascoigne Halman Glossop office

Estate agent Gascoigne Halman has acquired the Rowcliffes’ lettings business, along with offices in Glossop and Chapel-en-le-Frith.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, takes the total number of offices in the network to 20.

Along with existing offices in Whaley Bridge and Marple Bridge, the acquisition gives Gascoigne Halman comprehensive coverage across the High Peak region.

The acquisition of these offices ensures continuity of service for clients and secures the employment of 12 staff, across both branches.

Over the past 28 years, Gascoigne Halman says it has become the area’s leading estate agent, with knowledgeable teams in interlinked offices throughout South Manchester, North East Cheshire, as well as the High Peak.

John Halman, managing director of Gascoigne Halman, said: “The acquisition adds to our existing Whaley Bridge and Marple Bridge offices to provide us with the most comprehensive network of offices in the High Peak.

“We’re also pleased to be welcoming 12 new members to the Gascoigne Halman team.

“I feel confident that with their local knowledge and experience they will fit right in and allow us to extend our quality service even further.”
