Developer MCR Property Group has received planning approval for its 16-storey Old Trafford development, Trafford Plaza.

Situated off Seymour Grove, the scheme comprises 174 apartments, split over 64 one-bedroom and 110 two-bedroom units, including a duo of two-bedroom duplexes.

The high-specification apartments are set in landscaped grounds, with each property equipped with luxury features, including floor-to-ceiling glass windows and balconies that offer views over Seymour Park and the Manchester cityscape.

A total of 90 over and underground car parking spaces are being made available to residents.

The development is less than a three minute walk to Trafford Bar Metrolink stop, providing direct access to Manchester city centre, Salford Quays and the airport.

The scheme, designed by Leach Rhodes Walker Architects, is surrounded by local shops and food outlets, with Old Trafford cricket ground and Manchester United FC in close proximity.

Chris Taylor, asset manager at MCR Property Group, said: “Trafford Plaza is a new standard of high-rise, ultra-modern living in the heart of Trafford – a thriving borough, which is home to more than 230,000 people.

“Driven by its excellent commuter links and the significant regeneration of the wider area, Trafford is an ideal place for people looking for direct access to Manchester, without the city centre’s price tag.”

He added: “The spacious apartments are ideal for first-time buyers, families and young professionals.”
