Property services company, Liberty Group, has secured four new contract wins worth nearly £6m across the South East, East Midlands and Yorkshire.

The new partnerships with Vital Energi, emh homes, E.ON Works and E.ON Riverside mark the continued growth of the company.

Knowsley-based Liberty Group specialises in the full range of property services including reactive and planned maintenance across all technical disciplines, refurbishments, mechanical and electrical projects, construction and renewable energy.

Ray Jones, Liberty’s Group managing director, said: “Liberty has grown by 20% over the last 12 months, and these new contracts mark the start of a really exciting and successful year for the group as we continue to grow in our core markets and expand our offer into new areas.

“Our success at Liberty is built on strong foundations of excellence across health and safety, efficiency and customer care and we have bold ambitions to strengthen this even further over the coming year, building on our unique position to support clients who are dealing with a rapidly-evolving marketplace.”

He added: “Developing our breath of services and driving innovation will be a key focus for us this year and we are delighted to be working with new and existing clients to add real value and deliver success for all.”

In Yorkshire, Liberty is working in partnership with Vital Energi to support the £35m Leeds PIPES project being delivered by Vital Energi and Leeds City Council to refurbish one district heating plantroom and build a second, brand new plantroom, to supply heat and hot water to 26 tower blocks in the city.

The new heating network has received £4m of funding from West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) through the Leeds City Region Growth Deal.

An additional £5.8m of European Regional Development Funding has been received to help connect 1,080 council homes in the Lincoln Green and Ebor Gardens area.

This project will support Vital Energi and the council in reducing heating bills by up to 25% for more than 1,400 households in Leeds, helping to tackle fuel poverty in the city and reduce carbon emissions.

As part of this project Liberty will deliver works valued at £3m, including infrastructure works and new heating system installations.

A new contract, worth £2m, with emh homes will see the firm deliver gas services to 5,400 homes, ensuring the safety and efficiency of heating systems for emh homes’ tenants.

The contract will run for a minimum of four years and will include gas servicing, maintenance and new heating installations.

The partnership aims to support Liberty’s growing presence in the Midlands and deliver local employment and apprenticeship opportunities as part of its commitment to improving lives in local communities.

Liberty has also secured contracts totalling £800,000 with E.ON, on behalf of Riverside to deliver a total of 129 new heating installations in the South East and 175 in Plymouth, which form part of the Government’s Warm Homes Fund to support affordable heating and tackle fuel poverty.

Liberty secured 27 contracts worth more than £70m in 2018.
