Property Alliance Group has welcomed two new tenants to Piccadilly Place, securing more than 15,000 sq ft of office space at the Manchester city centre scheme.

Insurance company Lockton has agreed a 10-year lease for 7,000 sq ft at Three Piccadilly Place.

Luxury cruises and tours travel company Scenic has taken the first floor at Four Piccadilly Place, agreeing a 10-year lease for 8,068 sq ft, and has relocated its team of 80 from 111 Piccadilly.

CBRE acted for Lockton and OBI acted for Scenic on the acquisition and also designed and project-managed the fit-out of the space.

Colin Downing, managing director UK, Scenic Group said: “Scenic is a global travel business.

“With major market positions in Australia, Canada, the United States and the UK, plus a network of general sales agents in some 40 countries worldwide, it is very important that our office space reflects and enhances our corporate brand and the luxury holidays we offer.

“We couldn’t ask for a better location than Four Piccadilly Place and the fantastic interior design by OBI has brought our brand to life in our work space like never before.”

Three and four Piccadilly Place offer 320,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation and are the only developments in the city centre to be Wired Certified Platinum for digital connectivity.

The development is complemented by a piazza comprising retail and leisure operators including Starbucks and Anytime Fitness.

The outdoor space has benefited from a significant investment, which has seen Alliance bring the area to life with a unique display of art comprising five oversized lamps reflecting various eras and centuries of innovation in Manchester.

Rob Peill, head of offices at Alliance, said: “Piccadilly Place has undergone huge change following recent investment and refurbishment.

“Office and retail tenants are choosing the development in favour of other city centre locations as it offers much higher quality space and facilities, as well impressive outdoor space which is attracting more and more people to the site.”

Paul Mills from OBI’s transaction and asset management team added: “It’s been rewarding to work with Scenic throughout the whole process of their move into Four Piccadilly Place.

“The building offers workspace of the highest quality, and the design we’ve applied helps bring the Scenic brand to life, reflecting the five-star service offered by the company.”
