Green light given to Lancashire warehouse scheme

The green light has been given to a new storage warehouse and café in the Ribble Valley.

Architect firm Fletcher Rae helped secure planning consent for the 20,021 sq ft storage warehouse and 5,547 sq ft cafeteria for its client, Fort Vale Engineering.

The building will be at Fort Vale’s site at Calder Vale Park in Simonstone.

Fletcher-Rae has worked with Fort Vale on number of projects for over a decade completing a number of schemes for the world class engineering company including new head offices, advanced manufacturing facilities, research and development building, sports hall and state of the art foundry.

The 30 plus strong Manchester based architectural firm operates, across all sectors, nationally and internationally continues to develop its presence and brand with many high profile projects and clients.

Managing Director of Fletcher Rae, Andrew Rae, said: ‘We have a great working relationship with Fort Vale, one that has grown over the last 12 years.

“We enjoy working with them and they appreciate the role we play and actively promote good quality design.

“These latest planning applications reflect the progressive nature of our clients business and give us an opportunity to expand our design profile.

“This is represented in our design for new staff restaurant The Bistro which draws inspiration from world famous Architect Mies van der Rohe’, Barcelona Pavilion and takes many of its cues from the masters work.”

Work on the new storage facility is due to start on site late Spring and completed by the end of the year.
