Cuppedia

An international chocolate and patisserie brand is opening its first UK store in Manchester.

Cuppedia will open its first British store in the Trafford Centre.

The brand draws inspiration from its Turkish heritage using flavours from the Middle East in its handmade chocolates and Turkish delights.

Cuppedia also offers customers its signature pastries, a selection of high quality teas and gift assortments.

Serkan Senol, from Cuppedia, said: “With its high number of shoppers and attractive retail offer, intu Trafford Centre is an ideal location for us to open our first UK retail unit.

“This is an exciting time for our brand and we can’t wait to start trading here.”

Colin Flinn, regional managing director for intu, said: “We’ve invested millions of pounds to enhance our retail and leisure offering at intu Trafford Centre including transforming Barton Square.

“As a result, we’ve attracted customers from across the world and an increasing number of international retailers like Cuppedia which will be another great addition to the varied and exciting tenant mix.”

The Trafford Centre is a top five UK shopping centre as measured by GlobalData.

The centre is currently undergoing a £75m investment to improve Barton Square which includes redesigning the interior and installing a glass-domed roof.

Existing Barton Square anchor tenants, including Sea Life Manchester, Legoland Discovery Centre and Next Home, will sit alongside a new Primark store which will open when the project completes in early 2020.
