Forbes Solicitors has advised Bolton Car Centre (BCC Cars) over the sale of three motor retail sites to North West-based Chapelhouse Motor Group.

The sites in Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan will continue to represent Suzuki and Citroen franchises under the Chapelhouse name.

BCC Cars will continue to operate with Hyundai and Citroen in Bolton, Bury and Blackburn.

Forbes partner Richard Clithero and associate solicitor Nick Pickup of Forbes’ corporate team, based at Walton Summit, were instructed by BCC Cars and were the legal advisors to the seller.

Nick Pickup said: “We are delighted to have been able to advise BCC Cars on the sale of the motor retail sites and we wish both parties all the best for the future.”

Chapelhouse Group operations director, Chris Layton, said: “We are delighted to acquire these businesses from BCC as they share many similarities with our own, having been part of a family-owned business built over many years operating similar franchises in neighbouring towns.

“We will cover the North West area with our nine sites offering Suzuki, Kia, Citroen and Fiat vehicles, service and parts to an extended customer base ensuring we continue to provide our excellent customer experience for which we are known.”

The deal was handled by David Kendrick of UHY and Keith Melling and Paul Hardy of Napthens Solicitors were the legal advisors appointed by the buyer.

Forbes has offices in Manchester and throughout Lancashire.
