Raft of new tenants announced at Arndale Centre

The landlords of Manchester’s Arndale Centre have announced a series of new lettings at the centre.

M&G Real Estate and intu, the joint owners of the Arndale, announced a series of lettings and lease extensions.

Uniqlo opened its flagship store for the north at the centre.

The store, which is only Uniqlo’s third in the UK outside London, occupies a completely redesigned 21,000 sq ft unit on Market Street.

AllSaints has committed to a new ten-year lease on a new unit in the centre, following several years of strong trading on Market Street.

The British fashion retailer will move to a new location on New Cannon Street, joining a line-up of big fashion names including Gap, Monki, Superdry, River Island, Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret Pink.

The global retail brand, which has been creating womenswear, menswear and accessories since 1994, will be introducing one of its market-leading shop fits to its new home.

They will be joined at the centre by fashion retailers Jack & Jones and Quiz, the former of which has now been selling its famous denim collection for more than 25 years.

Quiz has taken a ten-year lease on a 6,400 sq ft unit.

Finally home and body lifestyle retailer Rituals which has signed a ten year lease on a 990 sq ft store on New Cannon Street.

Colin Flinn, regional managing director at intu,SAID: “These new retailers and investment from top brands demonstrates the continued demand for high quality fashion in Manchester Arndale.

“The centre continues to be the city’s central fashion hub and is a destination for shoppers and retailers across the North.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing AllSaints’ new unit which will be the latest shop fit from a retailer renowned for its high quality retail environments.

“Hundreds of people queued for the opening of Uniqlo, a further example of just how much demand there is for quality fashion in Manchester.”
