Cheshire wine bar & restaurant sold amid keen interest from buyers

A Cheshire wine bar and restaurant has been sold off an asking price of £470,000

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co completed on the sale on a freehold basis of the site, which formerly traded as Piste Wine Bar, in Sandbach.

Occupying a central location on the High Street and within close proximity to Sandbach’s pedestrianised market square, the site is in a prime position to capture footfall in the busy area.

The property comprises two floors, with the ground floor featuring a lounge and wine bar with seating for 50 patrons, and upstairs there is restaurant seating for a further 30 diners.

Having been tastefully and comprehensively refurbished over the past two years, the property is presented in immaculate condition with full height picture windows providing plenty of natural light.

Previous owner, James Hughes, also operates Piste Wine Bar in nearby Tarporley and the Nags Head in Haughton and has sold Piste in Sandbach in order to focus on the other businesses in his portfolio.

He said: “We enjoyed our time in Sandbach but made the decision to focus on our other sites and wish the new operator the very best with their venture.”

Keith Stringer, director at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, said: “The property has been outfitted to an exceptional standard and as such, presented a turnkey opportunity in a prime location.

“The surrounding area is undergoing a residential housing boom, and the speed at which this property went under offer and subsequently completed is testament to the demand for high quality hospitality venues within the region.”
