One of Manchester’s biggest nightclubs is to close.

Tiger Tiger, which is in the Printworks Complex, is to close its doors within the next six weeks.

The news comes a little over a week after the nearby Birdcage stopped trading without any warning.

A new called Eden will replace the Tiger Tiger venue on Withy Grove.

The new venue will have a floral-themed interior design, with a botanical-inspired cocktail menu to match.

There will also be an open kitchen serving an all-day menu feature grills and sourdough pizzas.

There’ll also be an outdoor terrace on Withy Grove opposite the Manchester Arndale.

The site was sold to The Deltic Group last November and will reopen as Eden this summer.

A closing date has yet to be confirmed for Tiger Tiger but it is expected to shut in around six to eight weeks.

Doug Waldron, Eden Manchester’s general manager said: “We’re hugely excited to bring this brand-new botanical inspired, all-day destination concept to Manchester.

“Eden will be a truly captivating space, modern and eclectic and perfect for all occasions. We really wanted to create a paradise in the city where people can escape to, no matter what time of day it is.

“From an elegant drinking den and premium dining offering, to late-night entertainment, Eden is the place to drink, dance, dine and discover.”

Novus Leisure sold three Tiger Tiger sites to The Deltic Group for an undisclosed sum in November.

The three sites are Tiger Tiger Newcastle, Manchester and Portsmouth.

There was no hint at the time that Tiger Tiger would close.
