Liberty Group secures new contracts worth £13.4m

Liverpool-based property services company, Liberty Group, has secured three new gas servicing contract wins and retained an existing contract in the West Midlands and the South West.

The new contract wins build on the Liberty Group’s strong 20% growth in 2018, which was achieved through securing 27 contracts worth more than £70m.

The business currently tops the Gas Servicing and Central Heating League Table as the leading contractor in the UK for the value of contract wins, as compiled by HousingNet.

In the South West, Liberty will deliver a £5.8m contract to service, maintain and install domestic heating systems across Exeter City Council’s 4,900 homes until 2023.

It has also securing a £2m on a four-year gas servicing and maintenance contract with Homes in Sedgemoor covering its 4,000 homes in Somerset.

In the West Midlands, Liberty has commenced gas service and repair contract with Black Country Housing Group worth £560,000 over the initial three-year term.

Adrian Eggington, deputy chief executive at Black Country Housing Group, said: “We are really pleased to appoint Liberty to undertake this really important service for us.

“The health and safety of our residents is of paramount importance to us and we are confident that Liberty will continue our positive track record in this area.”

Liberty has also been successful in a tender with Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing (STAR Housing). It was incumbent on the contract and will continue to service, repair and install a range of heating systems including gas, oil, LPG and solid fuel, in 3,600 of its home in a new contract worth up to £5m.

Karen Sloan, managing director, gas maintenance, at Liberty, said: “These new contract wins mark a hugely successful period of growth for Liberty, which is demonstrated in our position at the top spot of the gas servicing league table.”
